So if you get a dual pane door there will be an adhesive holding it in. Well the one I found did. I had too heat this adhesive up and pry it apart. Dumb me used a screwdriver to pry. Should of found something plastic or wood. Well metal, heat, prying, and glass don't mix well together. I was still finding tint pieces of glass years later in the shop.

Even a single pane sliding glass door would have shattered if pried apart using something too hard.

Found a piece of 1/4" 36"x50" for $35 on craigslist yesterday. About an hour drive but sounds like its worth it. Probably going to pick it up today. Thank you guys for your input

Cool.  :thumb   a couple of big moving blankets and a piece of plywood bigger than the glass will be your friend for transport.   Good luck.  :D
