Bently windshield

Customer wants 2005 GT coupe windshield done, Ive done one before in a dark ceramic film, but it was a show car....I would imagine it would be OK as long as it's done in ceramic film, but I thought Id ask the pros....lemme know what you guys think!

I would assume that it is laminate glass like any other windsheild. I would be more worried about damaging something behind the dash then anything. Drop cloth it and keep it as dry as you can. I think it will done fine.

What would make it safer with a "ceramic" film?

a light metal film would be safer, but a light ceramic should be fine too. I presonially don't do windsheilds any darker then 50% ceramic or metal. I perfer a 60% myself.

I just figured with the amount of electronics in these cars a ceramic film would be best so we dont hear any BS about it, but also for higher heat rejection. I think I'll tell them 50% is all we can do. Thanks.

I have even put 50% ceramic on large piece's of laminate glass when doing heavy equipment with no issues.

I do windshields all the time without issue. If there is room, tuck towels in the lower corners between the dash and glass. You'll be fine...

I always told my customers about the possibility of messing something up behind the dash. It has only happened to me once, and thats enough reason to make it known.
