I wouldn't recommend the DIY route. You COULD end up with a decent result, but more than likely it'll turn out looking subpar, and you'll be out 350 bucks. I'd rather pay to have a pro do it.

Also, plastidip doesn't always just come right off. The first layer has to be thick. It does work well though for covering faded black plastic trim
