Sitting at a red light in the lane to go straight only, Utility truck in the left turn lane starts backing up into my lane, and crunches my car!

I get out ask him "what were you doing ??????"

"I decided I didn't want to turn left and wanted to go straight, I didn't see you, I looked 2 or 3 times"

The Cop gave the guy a stern lecture about using his brain and not backing up, for one thing, it is illegal, and another, common sense should prevail !

He tells the Cop that he didn't see me at all.

This guy has a Drivers License and can't see other vehicles on the road?????????

I wanted to ask but didn't if he had worked as a replacement referee !

Years ago in a Drive thru a blonde chick (figures) decides she wants to order more food and backed up into me after she had already pulled ahead and was almost to the freakin window where you pay. Her added donut cost her $600.00 LOL

Now that would have been VERY funny!!!

Hopefully the cop gave him a ticket... While the other guy's fault, it's still a pain in the butt to have to deal with it all.

People just don't care enough to be careful.

Well, declare the guy legally blind, and rename him Mr Magoo !

No, the cop didn't give him a ticket, will have to find out why. Might be I could go the C.A. route to get him cited...........

Well, after 1 1/2 weeks, finally hear from the other guys insurance, now they are in a hurry to get this taken care of.

They are on the hook for 10 days rental car as of now, 2 days of mised work, the cost of the damage (yes, I did get estimates) the diminshed value of the car, having acident damage and being repaired (clean carfax and autocheck prior to this, now it will reflect accident damage)

Adds up to some $$ for them to shell out !

The adjuster was no call- no show, but came wandering up 20 min late. Pulled up in an Accord with no decals or information identifying who he was, or that it was an insurance company vehicle. It apprears his tint is illegal, looked like 20% on all 4 fronts.

That was strange, though, he took pics, scribbled on a sheet of paper, then told to me to call this other person tomorrow, he did not have a total at this time. HUH ?

He didn't even have a business card, just wrote his name and # on a sheet of paper, and wrote the name of the pther person for me to contact on the sheet of paper as well.

Kinda puzzled about this, expected that they woulda sat down to knock numbers around and write a check.

A guy backed int my wifes car in a drive thru a few weeks ago. After trying to put aftermarket parts on it and beat me down, I TOLD them what they WERE going to do about fixing the car. An hour later the body shop called me and said they were fixing it like I had asked and they thought it was best if the shop called instead of the Insurance supervisor. I think they got the idea I wasn't going to take their BS from the first call. :thumb
