Costly things to watch out for?

Wow...great tips. That's exactly the type of things I was looking for. Those costly errors that can be car specific. The owner's items in the trunk, cord off car, tools while shrinking.

I think I saw on another thread that the Honda's have soft glass too. That right? You guys not cut on the car for those, or just be really careful with pressure?

Thanks for helping the newb with some tips =)

Use a button under the film.

Ahh, yes. I have seen this tip. Haven't tried it out yet. Awesome tip...no chance of etching glass if there isn't a blade on it.

Thought of another one. Be careful wet shrinking to not burn the bottom gasket, like with altimas.(tape it off). Also, watch out when applying heat to the outside of the glass, so you don't melt the rubber surroundings, especially with honda 1/4's....I melted the rubber pretty bad once on a Honda insight.

Doing windshield strips and breaking the mirror off the winshield.

BMW Owners..........

Folks that write rubber checks.

Dealers who want you to do the work yesterday, but make you wait until they get around to paying you..........
