Timed myself cutting a 2013 Mazda 6 today. Black interior with a 40% film. Back glass was 1:45, 1/4 were 0:45, rear roll downs 1:00 and front roll downs were 1:20

That was film on the car and not time for pulling out of the box, but that would not add that much....maybe 2 minutes total....still not worth the extra money a program or plotter would cost.

Id be more than happy to do a video with just one shade of film.

You are correct though, it wouldnt be worth it for one vehicle, or maybe 3. The only reason it makes sense is for volume, not to mention the film waste is cut down.

i posted in this thread a year ago when i was hand cutting only. i now use a plotter and can see the benefits. it wont help you much if your only doing 3-5 cars a day but we can do 15 cars (maybe more) in a 8 hour day with a helper shrinking the back glass.
