What happen to solar Gard ?

Hi folks this is the first time I have posted here , I'm a shop owner in Sant Maria ,ca have been a SG or Bekaert customer for Many years ( Since the 90s ) Close the shop down about a year ago to get in to a new Business venture which is been very successful since my time has freed up decided to reopen the shop and start tinting again . Being loyal customer that I was contacted Bekaert to established business relationship . Only to find that I owed a $80 Balance for what I don't know . Without argument I agreed to pay it on my first order ( Which was a full Stock order for the shop $$$$$ ) was then informed that I would not be given prices or allowed to order film until I gave them a credit card per management . Was a little disgruntle with How petty this company was being with me after being a low customer for 20+ years . So decided to go another route became a Madico customer And have had no problems with their film wondering what it will be like in a couple of years though . purchased our original plotter from computer cut was now in the market for a new one so got set up with tint tek 20/20 not a 100% happy with it and Decided to give SG another try called Gary at computer cut he Referred me to my rep who informed me that there were notes on my account saying not to deal with me nor sell Film and he would have to talk to management about Permission to reopen my account . Received a phone call from him today informing me that they were not interested in my business . Have these a$$#•|€$ forgot that it was the shops like mine that made that Company what it is today. Guess I'll give LLumar a call tomorrow and see what that services like has anyone used their cut system or program .

I just got off the phone with my new rep from CP his setting me up with a 30 day Trial of Precision cut to make sure it's the route I want to go .

Kool! On another thread someone was saying you couldn't get free trials anymore. I have the cc with Gary and love it for my needs but I know you don't want to deal with Saint Gobain aka SolarG at this time! Might as well give several programs a look. Get in touch with Vinyl Film Design, VFD. Pretty straight forward program with very ice fitting patterns.

Maybe it just started off bad this time around :dunno I know I have had problems with film companies over the years only to get over it! I think Tim is your rep now, might just take a deep breath and think about ol Rodney King

You got to admit .... SG has film like ya like it and is not far from ya..... Just sayin

If you got hassled by someone in the Anaheim office just go over their head! Sometime the people working there can be frustratingly stupid with NO problem solving skills. Can't hold a few responsible for the whole bunch of um.

I would love to but I was told it came from Management my new rep is Glenn never met him . They told me they were not interested in doing business not the other way around . That's what blew me away .

Is there the chance you are located close to someone now selling Solar Gard and doing a good job on behalf of Solar Gard and they don't want to mess that up? That's legitimate and fairly rare anymore.

Your description of events does make it sound like the balance due led them to search your payment history and make a business decision. Most of the manufacturer direct distributors are sticklers now with terms. They will tell you,"we are not a bank" and adjust accounts from terms to credit card required in a minute if accounts receivables goes over 30 days. Credit dapartments are hard core anymore. Things changed dramatically with credit departments calling the shots after 2008.

. That makes sense but I'm a cash customer ( I pay cod ) the $80 they say I O them is because they left my computer cut account open 30 days longer then I asked . They stated that the letter I fax over to close the account didn't reach them . Furthermore we moved about 7 years ago and I informed them that I was not getting my monthly bill for the service they swore up and down it was going to the new address it wasn't till about 6 Months after the discussion of the billing that the girl in the office informed me that it was there mistake the bill for the cc service was still going to the old address and it would be fixxed but never was .
