97 wrangler help

a friend of mine wants his two front windows done, i looked at them and then began trying to do them. I had a problem getting a good cut/trace of my film on the outside because the window is more resessed into the door frame, and those door panels, those mothers are tight, any special way to get them off, his driver side is already cracked prolly from taking them off by previous owner? idk i just dont want to damage them anymore than what they are. Its my first jeep, needless to say i didnt go through with the whole job, its more of a practice job then a profit one. any tips or tricks would help incase i run into a real customer that i dont know thanx.
