Just FYI, I've done a few of these and this is the first one I've melted, the rear plastic trim piece right behind the quarter glass, I barely heated up a little speck and it was bubbly melt city. Reminded me of the old Avalon trim pieces that used melt real easy.... And it lists for 30 frickin dollars, so be careful!!

must use tape to help prevent burn that's what we do layer it up 3 times

Well, sorry, I don't do that, not a bad idea, (I use to do that, a long long time ago) but after 25 plus years I find it quicker and easier just not to burn stuff, lol. I keep my heat gun moving, in a circular motion and feel with my fingers until heat feels right. Never burn anything like this, except this turd, like the Wizard said, be warned, it melted with very little heat
