Would be cool if one made it full circle to you one day. Think I may get a few TW, thanks for the link! :thumb

Even if you order 5 , it'll be the best $10 you spent..or should I say give away .

Every morning I put one in my pocket along with my pocket change as a habit. keeping a coin on me keeps me aware of keeping an "empathetic ear out" your intuition tells you when to hand one out. Sometimes I do it with the person aware, other times it is anonymously given without them aware where it came from .

Give it a shot :thumb

I took the time recently to chat with a food server while she had a smoke outside. I was on lunch break. Turns out she has a controlling husband that verbally abuses her and the two sons, says everything belongs to him and she best be keeping up her end of the bills.

She was threatened with being thrown out without the kids if she didn't have the $$ to make a bill due the next day. They don't have much to begin with and the dude can't seem to get beyond himself or his neanderthal mindset. I left with that earful and found myself at the ATM pulling out the amount needed to keep her in the house with the kids, went back to her workplace and handed it off to her.

I received a big fat thank you and hug. The next time eating at the place she works I had a large chocolate cake brought to me for dessert. I loves chocolate cake.

Pay it forward.

TW are you a friend of Bill W.??

I usually help in the form of buying some one in need a meal. If they are standing outside a food place i'll come out with an extra order and hand it to them. Every one needs a hand in one form or another at some point in their life. If not monetary, maybe some one to just listen for a minute.

it did back fire once and the guy asking for money "for food" didn't want me to buy him a meal. He got kind of pissed and shouted why couldn't i just give him the money. I simply said, because i'll buy you a meal, but won't enable your habit. He cursed me out and walked away.

I've had people yelling at me the same... I simply walk away and let them do what they want with their meal.  I had one guy who threw it in the garbage - I told him, the one who bought this meal for you today, will not buy it tomorrow.  He looked at me with a confused face.  I simply walk away.

You cannot help everyone, less those that do not want to be helped.
