Oxide 35% (VLT) Charcoal

Recommended Posts

Thanks everyone.

I'm looking forward to using it. Will order fusion on my next batch.

Have also sourced a corni keg from "the brew shed" not sure if they sell the ball and hose, but once i have that and a spray nozzle & inline gas filter, I am going to feel a lot more confident knowing I have made choices to improve a little more.

Hi,

I've ordered this roll and was just curious to hear some feedback from other users. Been told before its a really good film.

You were told rightly. :D

Ticks all the boxes for me. Unfortunately my favourite Oxide VLTs will see the QLD Gestapo dole out tickets like a condom vending machine.

What VLT are you referring to?

:mdog

The 30 is my all time favourite and the 20 and the 10 are a very nice flat black colour which look magic on a car, or so I am told. :err

Fusion is the star of the show but and what I use 99% of the time. Easy upsell.

Now... if only there was a Fusion 70-80% option it would be happy days here. (and you don't think Big Owl is keeping an eye on this thread hmmmm) :lol

Good point.

So what are you doing if a vehicle has privacy glass? do you use Ultra on the front and another brand 70 or 80% on the rear ?

Eagle eye is everywhere lol

Keeping it all in-house, Oxide75 is a very nice film for privacy glass.

Or if the customer wants to pay, Crystalline 70 is another good option

oxide 75 here as well

Thanks everyone.

I had been using JJ in a Viton sprayer - about a 20cent squirt into the mix. Because Im getting a corni keg setup tomorrow, I know I will have to increase it to about 2 good hard squirts. Have used normal spree detergent but found it left white detergent marks that screwed the tint.

yep it's very tacky but once you get the slip right you will love it.

On the real hot humid days J&J works good

Watch the j&j these days mate. Don't leave it in your bottle overnight, mix a new batch every day. I've had greasy looking soap deposits from j&j that was mixed in the arvo and used the next morning, particularly when the mercury is up above 40.

Now... if only there was a Fusion 70-80% option it would be happy days here. (and you don't think Big Owl is keeping an eye on this thread hmmmm) :lol

Bring THAT on! Give me an NX70 with similar performance characteristics and I could sell the chit out of that!

Also be nice to use a NX70 option on the privacy glass to match the fronts done in NX38/42 for the warranty . Might have to get Big Al plastered this weekend and see if we can't get him to agree to it. :lol

Thanks for all the help and tips guys...I've now done 3 cars in this film and 'holy Toledos Batman' - that stuff sticks so fast - I ended up using about 200ml of JJ in my korni keg sprayer, just to allow enough slip mix - it grips hard if the mix ain't right.

I've ordered some slip from glass tinting supplies, will see how theirs stacks up against JJ.

Good Film - Used the carbonite, but will update to the Fusion on my next order - seems to be the one to go for.

Thanks again Gents, will be writing some info up on the Isuzu Dmax tonight for anyone wanting some info - done 2 in 2 weeks. Tight window roll up rubbers on the D-max Duel Cabs though, so don't cut too much past those edges.

Hey BB,

I like to mix 50% UltraEze and 50% UltraSlip for my mix.. I call it Mick's Mix..

I use more for large rear screens than I do for the sides.. I usually keep 2 sprayers..

I have done a few D-Max's myself.. Since the new shape came out, I have tinted around 250 - 280. (Including my own) :)

I actually think I could tint one with my eyes closed.. Might not look too good though.. :lol
