Rolled down my window 3 days after tint

Hey guys,

 

So I just had my windows tinted on my car and like an idiot rolled down my window for a ticket to a parking garage. I had them tinted Saturday and this happened around noon on Tuesday. I don't notice any peeling or bubbling, but I see what looks to be some sort of abrasion on the window like someone lightly rubbed a brillow pad on it etc. Will this go away or will I need to have it replaced? Also, how difficult is it usually to have redone?

it would be dry enough after 3 days . Just clean the window with non amonia glass cleaner and it should be okay .Unless you live in alaska where it probably takes 3 months to dry lol

Thanks for the response, would poor quality tint be why it looks cut almost? Will water and a towel suffice or will that not work to see if the tint is damage

What kind of car do you have?

The scratches could be toolmarks. Take it back and let them look at it.

Infiniti G37 - the tint was a gift from my gf so I don't know anything about the type it is etc. She has had tint on hers for a year with no issues but not sure if it is the same kind. Also, I just went outside and the abrasions feel like scratches when your rub your hand over it

Tint should not be damaged by rolling your window down. Your seals my be damaged causing the issue to the tint, although i bet what you are seeing will be easily removed once you clean the window.

Take it back to your installer.

You seam very reasonable and I'm sure if there is a fault on one window and you have this attitude when you walk in, well I'd happily squeeze you in to redo it for nothing but not my call too
