tint removal

hey guys just wondering what you guys use other then ammonia with the bagging method? can i use 409? i read the directions already just wondering if i could use something else.

409 works well, but I can't stand the smell or having it on my skin.

I use a Wagner steamer.. everytime.

 I have tried multiple solutions with different results. I think it all comes down to the age of the film, type or brand of film and the working atmosphere. I have had plain water soaking old film over night sometimes work better than ammonia being used during a sunny day.

I simply use my slip solution when I bag a window....it is the moisture and the heat more than the chemical IMO.

Ditto. I also prefer to use black trash bags instead of film liners because they absorb more heat. But old film liners will work as well.

Junk film works good too! trash bags don't shrink as well!

I'll use the scrap film trick if there's any old film that didn't peel off.

Have done that many of times. Works great most of the time!
