Removing film from curved glass

Recommended Posts

Did an est. today.. it is actually glass, and not plexi.

The film was installed on the outside, so I'm going to assume it's PS, but I don't know that for sure.

I've never scraped curved glass... any suggestions??

The panes are 36" x 30" - so not super big.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

The old film looks terrible. The owner asked why the film went bad. I explained that external films don't hold up as well as film on the inside, which two groups of windows actually have film installed on the inside as well as the outside. (Of course the film on the inside of those windows looks fine, but you can still see the failed external film.)

No steamer here... so not an option.  :thumb

The glass is tempered, according to the stamp in the corner of at least a couple of them. Didn't really look at each and every window since tables and customers were in the way, but the ones I did look at said it was temp glass.
