2015 F-150

Can i ask a noob question on these. when you guys cut these patterns, do you cut the sides and shift, then cut the bottom? Or do you cut the bottom first then cut the sides and shift? Less than a year and have yet to do this style f150. I think cutting the sides first then the bottom will give the perfect allignment am i right? Thanks alot

Trace it all out with a Sharpie. Bottom, sides, roll down finishing marking the sides then cut the top.

 You probably won't need it on the new-new ones.  I think they went back with a set screw.

This one required the tool..man that is some sketchy stuff pulling that mirror off. I don't like that at all. Last thing I need is to shatter a windshield

Yeah,, most of them are around $450 and the mirror is over $100 if you brake anything on it.  

 

AND REMEMBER = ALWAYS WD-40 the button and the button part of the mirror itself with a Q-tip, before you put it back on.

The tool I use works great every time. It's a silver red dot and I slit that ho. Bham I don't think it's up until the 17's where they have the screw.

equalizer makes a good tool for the mirrors.  looks like a thick fiber stick you tap into the opening on the bottom, then tap the mirror off.  i use a dead blow hammer to avoid breaking windshield.  so far so good

On the new F-150 pry the bolt cover from the front it pops right off I've done about a half dozen of them.

There is also a bolt under the sail panel up by the mirror

. Anybody got a video of getting this cover off? I've pried on two different ones with no luck.
