Ever bent plastic trim and made white spots?

Recommended Posts

Once in a while and more on older cars than newer, an install would pull too hard or bend some plastic trim leaving white pressure marks in the plastic car trim. All I have to do to make it the original color is heat it with the heatgun. This also works great for black plastic trim that has been in the sun so long that it goes white. The heat raises the oils in the plastic I guess, but the color will come back right before your eyes.

I take the handle part of the screw driver and rub on the spot..that makes it go away too..and if you make a mistake and stratch the panel...to the same thing..rub on it... :thumb

Wish I could rub a handle on all the mistakes I've ever made.
