1991 Chevy Camaro - To Do or Not To Do

Recommended Posts

Very easy,,the rear glass was the 1st window I ever tinted,,2 piece no heat gun in 1989,,,82-92 Camero/Transam all the same,,did lots of them,,defroster ones were a little more píta,,which was about all of them in colder areas

Doors are super easy and the rear is a fairly easy one piece with a little heat and if defroster,,just cut it about 1/4in short on outside where the fat defroster grid is and when all dried,,we painted black the daylight behind the grid

Sitting under the lifted hatchback window is good

Also,,it's about the biggest rear window of any car? Maybe get a extra set of clean hands to position it

With hatch up,,the top corners can roll back,,but squeege it hard and pull with your thumb and wipe the water from the edge

I've only done a couple of cars. My very first was that rear glass as a favour for my brother. One large piece down the center and one on each side . All very carefully cut at the gridlines of the defroster.

Never get stuck on one piecing a job when only you and possibly another tint installer could pick it out of a crowd.

May ways to skin that cat!
