3M CS vs Suntek CXP

Recommended Posts

Solar energy 101.

It (all film) rejects solar energy, which produces heat once absorbed by the surface it strikes. There is no thermal radiation associated with the NIR (or the visible and UV) part of the spectrum and there is little FIR (far infrared radiation known to be thermal) coming from the sun. It's mostly light energy (visible, UV and NIR) and all three are responsible for producing heat once striking a surface.   :thumb

The car is still super hot but i'm thinking thats due to my panoramic roof not being tinted. I've heard mixed things about tinting it.

Is it fine to tint a sunroof if its tempered glass ?

I wish we could get better quality tint here in Australia  :sad

You shouldn't have any problems tinting the sunroof. I do them all the time. Are you talking about the car being hot once you first get into it, or just riding down the road?

Hot when I get into the car but once the air con has cooled it down its all good.

I think it could be due to no tint being on my panoramic sunroof apart from what ever they apply to it in the factory.
