Picky customer 2015 convertible mustang

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, got a custy who's got a new mustang and tinted the roll ups no problem and the windsheild but the backglass is basically cut to fit with no boarder or matrix, he's super picky so anyone have any advice to get this BG done with little to no contamination or small light gaps??

It's a little time consuming, but if I'm not gonna use the blackout pen,,,, then I,,,  Tint it twice.  I mean tint it all the way twice.

Cut the best pattern you can(as if it were your install piece).  Install it exactly the same you would if you were going to leave it there.  Then you will know what you need to watch for to keep it clean and you will have a good pattern to avoid any more light gaps.  :twocents

I would just explain to him how it will be tinted and make sure he is aware of the look it will have once it is complete.  Generally if you are upfront about the turnout then they will be fine with the finished work or they will take it somewhere else which is not always a bad thing depending on how picky they are going to be.

Everyone here is right on  . I done one and u are gonna need to do the back glass 2 or 3 times to get ur pattern right cause it rides right up to the cloth. But you will get it. And i would hand the custy tintdude product disclaimer . Helps a ton with picky custys. Good luck man let us know how it goes.

The older convertable stangs,,I use black vinyl graphic strips on the outside of the glass to hide the daylight,,, I cut the pattern short on the top=cloth fiber crap? Even if you get it rite to the edge,,still see daylight from inside the car

You can make it look like a factory boarder,,haven't had a 2015 yet

You can buy a 15in or 24in 150ft roll of 651 oracal black vinyl for less than $100 and its not premium but it lasts darn good,,you can cut whatever size strips you need

Don't send them away and don't make excuses for daylight and the tint cheat marker? Lol I just got some new ones after 20yrs the old one dried out,,when the water has dried,,they can work for small cracks of daylight
