Beginner.. Have some questions

Recommended Posts

I've been learning how to tint off and on for about a year now. I'm no where near professional lol. My tools currently consist of an Olfa knife, spray bottles, conquistador, hard card, turbo squeege, lil chizler , file and some other odds and ends. I'm more interested in trying to find out how to prep the Windows the best? Every window I've done usually will have tiny little dirt spot patches and I don't know why cause I fee like I clean the Windows enough to buy I guess not..

Where are you installing your film at? If the location is dirty the air particulates in the air could get on the film. I would also ask how are you cleaning the window. What type of rag are you using, do you use a razor blade to help with the big particulates, what film are you using as well.

I do it in my garage, still air. I usually spray down window with soapy water and wipe off, the do it again and scrub, squeege and then spray and razor blade it, and I use microfiber towels I belive. And the tint I have used was solar guard I belive.. In not into dropping a ton into fancy tint till I get good enough and feel like my work is of good quality
