2015 Cla 250 Mercedes

I tinted a cla250 and after I was done with back glass the push start button to start the car would not work. A technician looked at it and said water leaked downward into the trunk where the push start computer is. From now on I think I will just use a spray bottle in the back glass. And use my 5 gal tank only on the sides. I didn't even spray that much water. Any ideas to avoid to much water.?

I've done tons of cla's and never had that issue. I use a zep spray bottle for all my windows though.

Edit. Had a 2017 cla that wouldn't detect the key today. Customer was fine with manually starting the car for a few days. Hopefully it dries out okay

Where is the module located? can we cover it like an Audi amp?

i've had this issue twice, when you pop the trunk , everything is covered and sealed, nothing  to cover and i'm unsure where the module is

Try pulling the wheel well covers in the trunk back, they are usually hidden there near the front.

pull the carpeting back from the sides and stuff towels in everything, you still need to be careful as to not spray to much water. another thing is to figure what side has all the electronics and be sure to squeegee away from it on the glass. ive done many and havent had any issues but im always mindful not to f anything up.

Just did one of these and took the precautions mentioned and I'm still having the problem with the push button start. For you that have had this problem how was it resolved?

2015 2016 challenger hellcat same issue on windshield , car wont start for about 1.5 hrs after TINTING , NOT THE BACKGLASS windshield only .  cover cover cover
