Hi everyone, Any update on this? I’m looking for films that will block small to medium caliber handguns and also smash and grab.  I’ve got an old Mercedes G wagon that I want to do this on.  The advantage of the G wagon is all windows are completely flat.

i would think almost any film would slow down a smash and grab attempt but as far as stopping it from happening i don't know. maybe put film on both sides to hold the shattered window together more securely. are you planning on bullet proofing the rest of the body too? car doors aren't bullet proof. if you feel like you need that type of security there are companies that will retrofit vehicles for this purpose and it takes a lot more then window tint.

OK, that sounds like changing out the entire window and ending up with something much thicker. I was hoping for a type of laminate on the inside and outside, but I know that is probably way too optimistic.  Thank you for your response though.
