Solar screen comparison

Recommended Posts

Like to bounce some ideas off anyone that has any data web page links with performance numbers of solar screens in regards to heat rejection.

To my knowledge they don't block infra-red and UV and their heat rejection numbers aren't industry-wide standards.

Is it a tint type material shade? Or Fabric?

I tell them tinted glass is great and also shades if you can afford it also

Small rooms still get very hot with any type of shade and no tint film on the glass

Lots of them only tint the windows that they can't get a easy shade for,,,they would rather have shades pulled down??,,wtf

Seems solar screens have moved to the nano arena as well.

Best contact makers of the product such as the one linked below and ask for their detailed technical performance data. They're a bit ambiguous with performance on their website.

I installed my first one about a month or so ago. I've got to say I wasn't that impressed. I tinted a window with 25% dr. They didn't want to add blinds or drapes so I suggested the screen. It helped but not like I thought out would.
