Ya but you worked for WORST so who cares it's not your film.

you kidding me pro they would be pissed if that happened . one guy cut the film while waiting for the customer to show up. and then it turns out the wrong film was on the papaer work. and they gave him a rashon of shiat for it. :thumb

cool table blade personaly I dont like to cut the film untill I get there. I know it is alot faster if you already have it cut when you get to the job. but ive been to too many jobs where it canceled at the last minute or the customer was not home. but if your going to cut at the shop I think your table is perfect :thumb

a deposit is usually in order that would at least cover the film in the event of a no show or absentee customer :hmmm

screw them if I get a deposit and they dont show I am keeping it for lost time. and ill still have the film I can use on another job if needed

G'day Blade,

Is that some sort of bar that comes over the top to hold the film taught or do you cut against it to get a perfect 90 degree cut?

Devil

Yes it is Devil. A spring-loaded bar that flips down and holds the film tight against the cutter. So that the film doesn't slide while cutting, and so the film doesn't fall out from the cutter once it's cut. :thumb

personaly I dont like to cut the film untill I get there.

It's much faster, like you said, to have the film pre-cut!

ive been to too many jobs where it canceled at the last minute or the customer was not home.

We most always have a signed estimate stating the acceptance of the bid and showing a ship date for when the job will be done. The estimate also shows the type of film chosen. If they change there minds afterwards they pay for it. I always tell my customers that I pre-cut the film and that if there is a chance they will change their minds that I need to know preferably 2 days in advance.

It has happened a couple times where the film was cut and we ended up not doing the job. But we do so much flat glass and so many windows come in standard sizes that the film always ends up getting used. :hmmm
