Markup on tint

Recommended Posts

The reasoning for that most of the time is taxes. So some shops will not pay sales tax from their distributor because of the state it's in. Then the state the shop is in will have sales tax. So what they will need to do is write the ticket separate. So you'll charge for material and labor instead of just labor. Hope that all makes sense.

I'm used to being pretty open things so sometimes I forget. Not that it's anything you can't find out with a simple phone call though. Oh and probably Google.

Simple phone call wtf can tint dude please ban this guy.....

Yes I get my tint through my distributor. At cost.

My question is do you mark it up? Charge by the square foot

I say mark your tint up to 80% then charge them for your super awesome tinting skills with labor. So if you're running quickbooks you would have a column with "Materials" and another column with "Service " then add "Misc. Shop Materials" tax the "Materials" and "Misc. Shop Materials." Just remember you cant tax it if you get a resale certificate. Good luck bro.
