SuperSetKing Posted June 10, 2016 Report Share Posted June 10, 2016 Film starts shrinking around 100 to 140 depending on the poly mfg. 240 is melting zone. Film shrinks at the temp it was stretched at as well as the temp of the dye vat if not an extruded film. My serious question is.... Why would you even attempt this? If you use it to strip film then I would assume you know boiling water burns. Sounds painful to me. Lastly heat guns that shrink well have about 1000 degrees and a lot of cfm. The steamer has neither of those qualities. But seriously, I'd pay good money to watch you try. So film it if you get a wild hair. Link to comment
