How are you tinting... 1 person per car or 2 per car?

Currently at the shop we have 2 people on a car. 

 

Person 1. Cleans, layout rear windshield, heat forms and lays the rear.

Person 2. Cleans Cuts and heat forms all the side and qtr windows

Person 2. Clears inside windows and applies tint

Person 1. Finishes the rear and helps with the side windows.

 

How long does it take you to finish a standard sedan? one person or 2?

We typically take 1.5 for a basic sedan with 1 tinter.  I would guess 1 hour would be the target for 2 tinters.  One of our previous tinters ran that setup at an old shop.  One tinter would tint the rear window and rear quarter windows while the 2nd tinter would do the roll-ups and front quarter windows if the vehicle had them.  Then on the next vehicle, they would switch position.

Double teamed a few cars years ago with another tintdude.com member. He did the back window and I did the sides. Not sure how long it took. Less than an hour each car I am sure.

On the car we filmed for "the ryk shrink" we did that in 45 min including the video taping of back window.
