You should think about covering all panels with plastic

ie cut open trash bag and tape.

Takes 5 min out of your day.

Make your cleaner do it

That has to be one of the worst accidents I have heard yet. Only because everyone knows better. To bad you didn't catch it sooner. Did you ask him who or what gave him the idea?

sounds like the guy at least has initiative which is more than most people you hire today. I had a helper put a spotlight in the back of a Accord Coupe melt the guys leather seats. I got the seats at a good cost from the dealership and the upholstery guy next door put them on for free but it still set me back a bunch. Great thing was the guy hated how the dot matrix looked and at that point I just ripped off the film (leaving the glue) and tore up his check in front of him. When a day goes bad just go with it.

take those panels to someone that does interior repairs. the people that repair

burn holes can do some amazing work at very low cost.

this is what I was going to say. if the place you called says they can't do it, then call another place. it can be done. they just don't want to mess with pulling the plastic off.

I wonder if your insurance would cover this because you were not working on the panels just the glass?

insurance companys won't pay if you are stripping off old tint and scratch the glass but if you are detailing the car and the extracter handle hits the glass and scratches it then they'll pay to replace the glass minus your deductable.
