Global NR QDP question

Recommended Posts

Whats up guys. Quick question for everyone. I am thinking about getting my car tinted and am trying to decide between some brands. I am going to get 5%, but was wondering what film has the "blackest" look to it from the outside. I had the SunTek CXP 5% on my previous car, but noticed that it wasnt as black as the tint I had on the car before that (dont know what brand of tint it was). So basically right now, im thinking about going with the Global NR QDP Charcoal 5%, but was wondering how black it is compared to others. The tint I had before (not the SunTek) was like a glossy super dark black that I really liked and I want something comparable to that. The other brands I was considering was the 3M Color Stable 5% and Huper Optik Xtreme Optiks 5%. So my question is, how black is the NR QDP Charcoal 5% and how do those other brands compare. Thanks everyone.

HAHAHAHA. Thats where the backup camera comes in handy ;)

All 5% film is dark. My guess is one of your vehicles had lighter interior than the other.

Both vehicles had black leather interior and a black dash.

Anyone have real world experience with the NR QDP 5 who can chime in and tell me if it has that deep black look? If not, what would you recommend? I just was scrolling through some threads and someone said the "Sentry 03% by SolarFree" is the "blackest" film out. Is that a metalized film?

Qdp 5% is very black. No real color to it just that real dark color you're looking for. You won't be disappointed with it.

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Have you seen it compared to SunTek CXP 5%? The SunTek CXP had more of a greyish tint to it and not that deep dark black that I want. I heard the 3M CS is pretty black too. Would you say QDP is the blackest?

I can't honestly say. I used some cxp but it was the lighter shades. Dynamic apartment up here loves the 3m cs so he could give you a good opinion on it. I personally have used the global for about 7 years now. I've never once had a complaint of the color on it.

Solarfree Sentry is their "Carbon" film. I would be concerned that the black look would fade shortly after.

Global/EWF QDP would be a good choice in color and quality.

Yea I was just thinking about that..

I've only heard great things about 3M CS and QDP. I did see the 3M CS in person and it was pretty black, but havent seen the QDP in person yet. I will shortly tho. Im going to go with whatever one is the most black.

I also just read some posts on the Valiant Sirius Black films...can anyone chime in with an opinion of the "blackness" of that film compared to 3M CS and QDP?
