Edges/dotrix/random ?'s

Recommended Posts

What does everyone do on classic cars and older f250 slider back windows that have no matrix and can't be trimmed? Does dotrix work better than regular wrap vinyl? Where is the best place to order tools? Is it safe to remove residential/commercial film with a steamer? What's a good entry level plotter that will work for tint and ppf ?

Trim as close as possible using relief cuts on the corners.  Before you peel the liner throw it on the inside to see if any trimming is necessary.

You can get black "puff paint" at Wal Mart which is a 3D paint.  You can use a very thin bead to help hide light gaps.

line the bottom, wedge the sides and top. dry fit to see if you need to trim a little, typically bottom corners.  tri-edge or grey around inside to separate glass from gasket. wrap cloth over tri-edge or grey to remove dirt and clean gasket.  slight snap on bottom to eliminate possible fingers.  heavy slip light mist and set with 1/16 gap at bottom for water drainage.  squeegee water down avoiding 1 inch of sides and top.   In one pass top middle out and down repeat other side.  extra towels to soak up  slip on bottom.  one shot, anything pops up your sucking trash and start over
