Having problems with tint bubbles

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, I have a shop near philadelphia and sometimes we have bubbles pop up in the window after the tint is installed cleanly. Bubbles don't typically show until a few hours after. When we go back to push out the bubbles it usually does not completely clear up the window. We usually have to redo at least 1 or 2 windows on 50% of our cars. I think the problem can be that we are not sealing the cars properly after the install with the heat gun or the tint brand. We did use Suntek on every car, but now we also use a less expensive tint that is 1ply. Trying to solve this problem to eliminate wasting tint. Any info will help. Thanks.

Got to squeege the water out better=water bubble spots form after install and normally dry out in a week or so depending on sunlight and heat and no heat gun needed for that

I tell them to stop looking at it/its like watching paint dry lol

I dont like 1 ply film but it squeegies and drys faster i noticed

what kind of bubbles?  water bubbles from excessive water or white bubbles from contaminates.  some texture is normal after application and will dry out.  larger water bubbles can turn into air bubbles and can be popped later if needed.  switching to a pro-handle with blue max removes more water virtually eliminating the texture and decreases dry time.  personal preference is fushion 5ES

white bubbles, are the in one area? even through film?  pic would help.  area and pattern determine the contaminate issue you have.  and yes there are solutions for them.
