Nissan Armada windshield

Done front doors on an Armada today and noticed this clear spot for the front sensor.   What do you all do for windshield strips on these?  Cut out or cover?

So, has anyone done one of these?  Did you cut it out or cover the whole thing?   I am just curious as I am sure a customer would freak if we cut out the part and make it clear there.

I haven't done one but given that Nissan spec'd the glass with the clear Center section I would be very reticent to film across the whole thing. Seems like that would potentially turn into a liability nightmare in a hurry.

Checked my cutting software as well and they don't even have a pattern for a strip on the Armada, which is unusual for a newer model in and of itself which also makes me reluctant to do one.

at least they could have made it open and clear with a black surround and covered up like most others are....I was blown away at the blue hard edge line of the factory tint

I'd say hey the factory didn't take the mirror off neither am I

You made no mention as to whether there was a camera or some sort of sensor located in that rear view mirror assembly. Good possibility that the manufacture has a recommendation some where stated that film not be applied due to a sensor that could fail. I would call a dealer and ask and look in the manual if the custy has left it in the vehicle.

Sorry, there was a sensor there.  It was not the front facing camera as I put my fingers in front of it to see.   So,  collision avoidance or adaptive cruise control would be my guess.
