Curved Plastic Panels

Recommended Posts

Will be installing film to stairway glass leading up from a lobby/reception area.  On the landings are curved plastic panels.  The rest of the panels are glass.  Have advised the customer of the issues with installing to plastic and that 3M Dusted is one option thought to be ok for plastic.  Have also advised them the curved panels will likely need seams, and that they should consider the film installation on the curved panels as permanent as we cannot scrape to remove them.

Has anyone installed to similar?  What film did you use and how did it go?  The customer might like a film lighter than the Dusted but I told them there aren't many options I think we can use on the curved panels.

Roach is correct, I did a large hotel in Fl. several yrs. ago with same scenario, curved plastic atriums, but it was with a silver blister free. Are they wanting opaqueness ?Cause you mentioned dusted ? I devised a roller to help the install,  the adhesive is very agressive , a two man operation , if you have any questions pm me
