No More Annual Safety Inspections for Utah

Effective 1/1/18 there will be no more mandatory safety inspections.

What do you guys think?  In terms of window tint how will this influence your work?  Business as usual?  

 

Personally I think I'll stop cutting out third brake lights.  Currently I worry about customers having problems come inspection time, so I always make sure to cut out third brake lights.  But I highly doubt anyone will be bothered with the inspection program being depleted.

I wish nc would do that. They're getting so damn strict here it's ridiculous.

That was my first thought also. No more brake light cut outs yay!  We r&r 5 or more fronts a week for failed safety right now. But I think we will just see more tickets given by the HIghway Patrol now.

Agreed.  I'm sure UHP will be cracking down now.  

 

Even though the law itself did not change, I'm betting there will be more people asking to go dark on the fronts.
