Saga Contour Stepper 1350i

Does anyone have any experience with these? I have the opportunity to pick a used one up very cheap but don't want to waste my time or money if it won't cut Tint.

I bought one of the 1350iP Saga plotters to use with my tinttek program based on several recommendations. I have been told that many people use them and they work fine.  The "P" is same plotter just newer model. First thing I didn´t like is it is a stepper motor which means it is loud and slow. My main issue was I never could get the force right...it would cut fine on half of the pattern and then score the other side..It does not auto advance after cutting and the software cannot read or poll the size of the material you are cutting while using this plotter. I tried for a week to get it dialed in...Cutterpros.com is one of the main sites that sells them. Tech support is hard to get in touch with. I sent it back and went with one of the the Vinyl Express Q42 plotters from Sign Warehouse. It is a rebadged Graphtec and worth all the extra money..If it were me I would stay away from Saga for tint. Just my experience...your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the info, it sounded too good to be true but it was appealing for the price. Think I'll stick with the name brands.
