Cleaning windows after install

Recommended Posts

This is probably a dumb question but how do you clean windows after install?  I use sprayaway cleaner and microfiber cloth.  But all I seem to accomplish is smearing them and they look smudged and dirty.

Use less SprayAway and make sure your microfiber is only used for SprayAway and doesn't get used on a door panel.

Armor All will get on it and it will start smear after that. :cleanwindows    Too much SprayAway will dry wrong. :twocents

I use a glass microfiber towel to clean them.  For roll downs I don't usually even use sprayway just the moisture left from my final squeegee pass.   I mist the back window lightly for a final clean but I also don't clean it until the last thing.   If I did the final clean on it right after tinting I would just use the moisture.

I try to use the microfiber cloth but was getting the same results. I started to wrap my hard card in a Scott's towel (blue paper towel) on my final pass and it cleaned the window up very well.
