I cut flush on bottom and top, then a little before the bottom edge curves up I start cutting short. I just try to round it a little short at first but by the time you are on the side of the car going around, I'm about 1/8 short on each side ( if u use the dot matrix as a line it will fit) on the outside it will appear to have daylight. Once you lay it on inside it will cover.  There is almost no wiggle room once on the inside

I didnt have that luxury when I did it the first time. I've got a couple ideas I'm gonna try this morning and see if I can get it to cooperate. It definitely wasn't cut too long last time, there was still a light gap in the matrix on the sides, which is probably why it lifted honestly.
