2017-18 beetle back glass

I'd like to get some feed back.

its been about a year since I did one of these, but I don't remember having any issues shrinking it. Definitely not as hard as the older model. Am I remembering this accurately? ( I did quite a few of the older ones in 1 piece also) they were an (SOB). Frameless doors also right?

Did this one in 50%, doors are frameless tint slides in easy. Quarters are not tight but have a pillar kind of in the way but easy to get around. Back glass needs a bit of lift and pull but is shorter then the older models. I left top and bottom long to pull, had to remove spoiler(worst part) its on there good. 5 or 6 10 mill and tape on both top corners and along top. Removed plastic trim in hatch for easy install. Also not sure if only some models have spoiler....

Thanks for the feed back! I did get 2 of these in the other day, neither had a spoiler so they weren't to bad.

Curious on this one why the spoiler has to come off. Can you expand on it please?

Lift & pull method needs room below the back glass to pull in the right direction.

Thanks for the reply on this. I did one and can see why it needs to come off, however, I did do it without taking it off. I would however recommend taking off the interior panels around the back window. Makes it much easier for install.
