Best way to mount peel board on wall

I am picking up a 72 x 48 piece of glass and am wanting tips on mounting to my garage wall. Walls aren’t finished... mounting directly onto 2x4’s. The glass shop said I should glue it... but that seems sketchy to me. Thoughts?

Yes it should be glued but u should finish the wall first, mounting it to the 2x4 seems sketchy, I used both glue and glass mounting brackets on mine.

Mine sits on top of a 2x4 and has mirror brackets around the side and top. That's a 1/4 inch I think 5x9 piece of glass.

I usually build a frame out of 1x4’s or 2x4’s and paint and them (or seal them). Then use the metal bracket Home Depot sells on the bottom mount. Mirror clips on sides and top. The bottom bracket can be cut down to whatever length you need. Most of this is not completely necessary, but it will look good on the finished wall. Also if you do a lot of tinting, having the frame let’s the dripping water fall more on the floor than running down the sheet rock and staining it. Another thing is that painting or sealing the wood will help it last longer if you plan on leaving it there for years. I’ve worked a couple places where the glass has just fallen off the wall and broke, due to the material (that is was secured to) being wet And rotten.

Metal mirror bracket on the bottom with the glass mounting hardware holding the top and mine is mounted to the metal ridges of the liners inside my building.  I also installed plastic gutters at the bottom to catch runoff. Of course that gets cleaned out on a regular basis and beats all that soap buildup on the floor.
