PPF Wrapped is Not?

Hello!

i have the front end of my SUV wrapped with Llumar film. It has been a headache since day one, and I have been back to this installer several times to have various edges peeling up, things trimmed, etc. it got to the point where it was removed and reapplied with a Llumar rep actually helping with a couple of panels.

However, I’m still having some issues 3 weeks later, and I haven’t even washed my car yet. I had a peeling piece on the edge of the hood trimmed yesterday.

Anyway, is it better (from edges peeling) to have them wrapped? I was told by the installer that the inside of the hood isn’t painted as well as the rest of the car, so that’s why the film in there peels sometimes.

i think this will be my last PPF there! Any ideas on how to proceed from here?

We are a llumar dealer and we wrap every edge under the hood. Just have to prep the vehicle properly, u can even prime the underside with adhesive promoter and it will stick perfectly. I think it's just the shop. Sorry for the bad experience.

I figured! What do I need to have another Llumar dealer shop look at my PPF? I have my warranty card, but never got an original receipt. Will the warranty card work?

I have no idea where to even go that’s a good shop.

I would contact the manufacturer and ask them how to proceed. They wouldn't want their brand to have a negative taste in your mouth so they can suggest another option on a shop, cost, and expectation moving forward.

What you are dealing with is an installer issue, rather than a film issue. I would take it back to the original installer and ask them to remove the film and refund your money. Call the manufacturer to ask if they have another installer they recommend in the area.
