Who has insurance and how much does it cost and how much coverage? Just accidentally burned a customer's headliner on a brand new challenger on accident with the edge of my heat gun and having to pay to replace it. It's a few hundred bucks to replace. Just glad it didn't happen on a much nicer car that would cost a lot more to replace. This taught me I definitely need insurance for mishaps like this.

Average of $1200/yr per shop to cover up to 500k in damages. Also depends on where you live.

You will more then likely have a deductible. You wouldn't want to claim small stuff like that or your rates will rise.

Yeah that's gonna vary greatly depending on area. I had a gl for 200 a year which covered a lot. Since moving to the shop I have 20k coverage of contents and 1 or 2 million of IDK can't remember for 375 a year.

I am needing to get mine as well but the quote I received was mid-$500 for 12 months.

 

If I remember correctly it was a $500 deductible with up to $500,000 max damages.

We recently switched to State Farm if they are available in your state. We pay just under 1k a year and I think our garage keepers is at 75K

We pay 800.00 every 6 mo. And have 2.5 mil between building and workman’s comp

If you are. Only doing cars and the average car is under 60 grand and only concerned about the vehicle, you can get it for under 400.00 for 6 mo. If you are moving vehicles across the road, talk to an insurance agent...chit happens... don’t let it cost you you livelihood. Get transit plates and ins.

Damn... I pay $2500 per year.  But that’s coverage on the shop (100k) contents(100k) garage keepers which covers cars inside and if while driving them something happens up to one million. And personal and customer liability up to one million
