Last one I did i layed the film into the lettering with alcohol, a prayer, and a hypodermic needle for air release. Luckily that one was silver.  Next one will get the lettering trimmed out or a serious upcharge for the aggravation.

For a "small" upcharge  Fill the embossed letters  with clear epoxy . Let it dry and finish up.
