2017 Ford F-250 windshields

Recommended Posts

I know this should be in the mix and mile section but I have a serious question has anybody had to deal with that foam piece on the bottom of the windshield? Being that the film bumped into it and cause contamination any ideas on how to get around it?

Yeah it can be aggravating to deal with, I've done quite a few now. I've heard some have cut it out but I personally haven't as of yet. I put a super super slip down at the bottom. I've always wondered if it's attached to the piece that can be easily removed.

Get some piping cord from Joanne’s Fabrics(or any store like that). Wedge it between the dash and the glass, about .5-1” below the bottom matrix. It’ll keep the dash/foam pushed down and soak up the water before it has a chance to wet any electronics behind the dash. I use two different thicknesses, each piece is about 7’ long.
