We stock 36" for all darker shades and 40" for all lighter windshield shades.  Since Llumar AIR doesn't come in a 40", I stock a 60" roll.

I ran into this issue Thursday tinting a Sprinter with AIR90.

What do you do with the difference though? Not really wanting to stock a 60" roll when I will only occasionally need over 36" for a windshield.

I only order it in a 25' length roll so it won't cost much to sit on the shelf.

Do they up charge the price for ordering a short roll? Maybe I will do that when it comes time to reload.

Also going to switch to AIR80 instead of 90. Should have gone with that in the first place.

Just depends who your buying film from. I order a few partial rolls here and there. I believe I used to pay a “cut fee” of something like $25 per roll. Now I buy enough film that it normally waived.

Yeah, they may add a cut fee of $25 I think, but still worth it.  I would definitely switch to 80, 90 just doesn't offer the performance that 80 has.
