2018 chevy Colorado door panels ?

Recommended Posts

Honestly haven’t tucked a gasket since the early 00’s, when a lot of them stopped popping back up on their own. Also the second layer would get stuck down and scratch the tint later. Do you untuck everything when your finished? If so, how are you getting the bottom seal back up on back doors that don’t roll down all the way?

I believe he’s talking about tucking the film itself behind the seal in typical top load fashion. Not actually tucking the seal down.

Oh my bad, when I first started tinting in the 90’s, tucking the seal was a common practice. (On certain vehicles only) the ones I remember doing it the most on were the Izusu’s. The seal would tuck down nicely to allow you to squeegee and seal the edge of the film. Later when the customer would use the windows, they’d pop right back up. The seals were much softer back then.
