Olfa makes a handle for it . Not using it is asking for  unexpected shrapnel when the blade snaps . It does say on EVERY package to wear eye protection.

 

As mom used to say  " If you poke your eye out don't come looking for me"

You will love the 30° snap-off knife.  The kind of work you do, I am surprised you don't have a few of them.  

It's like being able to have a new Exacto blade just by snapping it off, instead of screwing in a new one time use blade.  

The only thing is,,,,, I WISH THEY WERE STAINLESS !!! :evileye
