Door panels marks

that doesn't dry out, the water got through the stitching and the CARDBOARD absorbed and expanded, it wont change back to its original form. I always tape and cover the stitched door panels from bmw, water just makes its way in.

 

YES bmw does make the door panels out of cheap recycled cardboard material.

I did not cover it with tape or anything but lesson learned....cost 300 to replace door panel

BMW’s are the worst, followed by Porsche. I’ve been there, it really doesn’t take much to seep in. I use the narrow roll of blue tape and plastic from Home Depo, in the paint section. If I need to top load a window, I’ll put a layer of that green tape to seal it down. If it’s getting a lot of water that blue stuff will leak or even fall off.
