2000 VW GTI - rain sensor

Recommended Posts

I recently acquired a 2000 GTI and there it a rain sensor behind the rear view mirror which when it rains the windshield washers come on.

Does putting a layer of film between the two effect the functionality of it?

I want the rain sensor more then tint, but I also want the heat rejection on the windshield.

Thx

That sensor should be flush against the windshield.  When the film goes on you should have to cut around it, therefore not interfering with it.  I’ve done quite a few windshield and front strips on those cars and haven’t had anyone complaints.

TiNT it.  You should be fine. :thumb
