Guest CCrows Report post Posted October 29, 2019 Hello all, I am trying to block building lights into my balcony at night. Balcony glass is 4 feet by 4 feet. I am trying to cover only 1 feet corner. It is a HOA apartment, so I cannot alter the look of the clear glass much. What do I need to block the building lights shining into my balcony at night while keeping the look clear during the day? Many thanks! Quote Share this post Link to post

Balcony has no lights in the night and the building light is blinding when you sit in the balcony. Quote Share this post Link to post
CnCCustoms 148 Report post Posted October 29, 2019 If you can’t alter the clear glass then I’d recommend blinds or curtain. Anything you add film wise to fix the issue is either going to be highly reflective and cause a mirrored look externally or black. And even the black you can’t go dark 2 Roach and TintDude reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest CCrows Report post Posted October 30, 2019 This is balcony glass, not apartment glass. I can't add blinds or curtain to it. I need to use some sort of film. Any light blockage is probably okay if I can get away without altering the look of it from outside. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest CCrows Report post Posted October 30, 2019 I ordered this one, I will try: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P9Q4ZP8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Quote Share this post Link to post
CaliTINT 167 Report post Posted October 30, 2019 What you ordered will greatly alter the look and appearance from the outside. 1 Roach reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
Tint Eastwood 1,561 Report post Posted October 30, 2019 Likely will stick out like a shiny thumb. Don’t think you can have your cake and eat it too here. Will have to alter the appearance if going with a permanently applied film. A shade with a nice aluminum cassette mounted at handrail would probably be the best option for both day/night and uniform appearance with surrounding glass. Quote Share this post Link to post
CnCCustoms 148 Report post Posted October 30, 2019 No matter what you put on it... will alter the appearance of the exterior side of the glass. IF You’re trying to block light. Clear heat rejection films are different. But I’m your case what you ordered is going to alter it for sure Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest CCrows Report post Posted November 1, 2019 Thank you fellas. I am not understanding how there is no clear light blocking films. I think I visited 3M once and they showed me something similiar, but it was many years ago. Quote Share this post Link to post
