LARGE wall mural question

Hey everyone. I'm going to be doing a large wall mural 18ft high. Should the overlap be 1" or more for something that big?

Kind of depends on the condition /quality of the substrate. If everything is plumb and square you could shoot for as low as half an inch. 3/4" is a good target overlap for most conditions.

Okay, can you be more specific as to "wall mural". Are you talking wallpaper mural, vinyl mural or window tint mural on a large wall of glass?

 

With the first two in the above question, I would have to say as much overlap it takes between 1/4"-1/2", while keeping mural image edges aligned.

That was my thought too... all depends what the material is and how it was printed.
